What you see before you is a photo trap for moths. Together with Aarhus University, we are conducting a research project to monitor the number of invasive nocturnal insects species.
At night, the trap is illuminated with UV light, which attracts the moths. When they land on the plate, the trap automatically takes a picture. The moth is then free to fly away.
