Take exit route 52 from the motorway.

Continue on Assensvej, Fåborgvej and Sdr. Boulevard towards downtown Odense. You will find Odense ZOO on your right.

Parking

On Sdr. Boulevard 79, just before Odense ZOO you will find a big public car park with parking spaces for 400 cars. The car park also features 3 charging stations for electric cars as well as 5 reserved for disability vehicles.

Parking is free. Please note that the first part of the area is 5 hours parking while the area after the viaduct is parking unlimited. Look at the parking signs in the area. 

Svendborgbanen stops at Fruens Bøge Skov and OUH/sygehuset.

The station is located at ringvejen Kløvermosevej adjacent to Odense Universitetshospital to which there is a footbridge.

From the station there is connection to Odense three times an hour, to Ringe also three times an hour and to Svendborg twice an hour during the day. During the evening and on Sundays there is one connection less to each of the three cities.

If you come from Jutland or Zealand, line 888 will get you quickly to Odense from Aarhus and Copenhagen. The bus stop is situated just 400 metres from Odense ZOO.

The following bus routes take you to Odense ZOO:

40-42 Sanderum – Syddansk Universitet (University of Southern Denmark)
51-52 Agedrup / Bullerup – Bellinge
141 Otterup – Odense - Faaborg
151-152 Kerteminde – Odense – Assens

There are around 100 parking spaces for bicycles next to the main entrance to the zoo and 15 at Åstien from which you can also enter the zoo.

Public bikes: Across from the entrance to the zoo free public bikes are available.

There are three commuter stations in Odense. At Odense Banegård [railway station] there are 38 bikes, on station OUH there are 8 bikes and on Hjallese station you will find 18 bikes.

During high season, you can sail on the scenic Odense Å with Odense Aafart to Odense ZOO. The ship sails from Munkemose in the centre of Odense.

You can buy a ticket from Odense Aafart where admission to the ZOO is included.
