Nubian Goat Capra hircus Afrikanische Hausziege / Nubisk ged
Nubian goats are a domesticated breed ranging from Ethiopia and the Sahara throughout Africa and on the island of Madagascar. Goats are very hardy and not very discriminating, which explains why they are kept in many places around the world where other domestic animals do not eat the vegetation. Goat meat and goat’s milk are used for food. Some goats give up to 8 litres of milk a day. Nubian goats give an abundance of rich milk. One of the most distinguishing features of nubian goats are their drooping ears.
