Royal Python
The royal python is a calm snake that is not easily excitable. When attacked, it rolls itself into a ball with its head innermost.
Snakes are not covered with slime, but by hard scales. The abdomen scales are just as wide as the body and help the snake to move. Wriggling is another form of snake movement. Snakes can wriggle along almost as fast as people can walk, i.e., 5-7 kilometres an hour.
