Although once a common breeding bird in Denmark, the European White Stork is rarely seen in Denmark. The occasional stork is seen looking for food or resting, but it is unlikely they have come to Denmark to breed.
Even though the population is not endangered world-wide, habitats have been reduced in so many areas that these storks no longer breed in places like Denmark.
