Rødrygget pelikan
Pelicans are among the largest and heaviest of the flying birds.
They always live in or near water and eat fish which they catch in the pouch of their large bill. As they fish, a lot of water gets into the pouch along with the catch. Their tongue prevents them from swallowing the large amount of water. The tongue can remove up to 13 litres of water from the bill.
