Dem er der mange af.
The grey parrot lives in densely wooded swampy areas. They have a talent for imitating human voices and other sounds. This is one of the reasons they are very popular cage birds.
Unfortunately, the big demand for the grey parrot as pets has made them a highly endangered species in the wild. The Zoo’s parrots were confiscated by the customs authorities who thwarted an attempt to smuggle them into Denmark from Africa. Grey parrots make many different sounds. They ‘talk’ in the dense jungle where it is hard to see each other all the time.
